Tiocfaidh an samhradh agus fásfaidh an féar
tiocfaidh an duilliúr glas ar bharr na gcraobh
tiocfaidh mo rúnsearc le bánú an lae
agus buailfidh sí tiúin suas le cumhaidh i mo dhiaidh.
Is óg ’s is óg a chuir mé dúil i ngreann
dhéanfainn súgradh le mo rún ar faill
níl baile cuain ar bith a ngluaisfinn ann
nach bhfaighinn maighdean óg dheas a shiúlfadh liom.
Spleoid ar an fharraige mar is í atá mór
is í atá a’ gabhail idir mé is mo mhíle stór
d’fhág sí ar an bhaile seo mé ag déanamh bróin
is gan aon tsúil chasta agam a choíche níos mó.
Nach deas an cailín í stór mo chroí
nach méanair don fhear óg a phósfas í;
tá séan ó Mhuire uirthi agus grá ó Chríost
ach mo mhallacht don athair a rinne sclábhaí di.
Scairt mé aréir ag an doras thall,
scairt mé arís ar mo rún go teann
’s é dúirt a daidí liom nach raibh sí ann
ná gur éalaigh sí aréir leis an bhuachaill dhonn
Shiúil mé thoir agus shiúil mé thiar
shiúil mé Corcaigh agus Baile Átha Cliath
shúil mé an baile seo faoi dhó le bliain
á hiarraidh, mo stóirín a bhain díom mo chiall.

Hello Aidan, I purchased your new album in April and have enjoyed playing the download. When the it arrived in the post there was no physical CD inside the case. I have been promised a replacement but have still not received anything. I only need the CD - I have the case. Obviously I can create a CD from the download, but that’s not the point. Hope you can help.
Best wishes, Martin D’Arcy

Absolutely love that deep concertina sound. And the range of expression that Cormac brings out through this instrument, well beyond the intentions of the designers or makers of these instruments. And, feel sorry for his poor bellows and reeds. He has to do a lot of personal repair on them. Cormac's album design and presentation are beautiful works of art as well. See him in concert if you can. You can really feel those bass notes resonate through a hall. balinsky
