An scoláire:
Is trua an scéal, a leabhairín ghrinn
tiocfaidh aimsir le do ré,
a mbeidh do scríbhneoir sínte i gcill,
is ar a chionn cuid mhór den chré.
Tiocfaidh an t-am, is ní fios cén fhad,
go ndeirtear leat: ‘is oth liom é
an té do scríobh tú fríd ar fad
go bhfuil i bhfeart, is nach maireann sé.’
Dá mairinn féin comh fada leat
i ndealbh, i ndréacht, i neart, is i ngné,
do bheifeá liomsa faoi mo bhrat,
’s níor bhaol leatsa sneacht’ nó gaoth.
Ansa liom in uaigneas thú
bheith liom i suairce, stair is greann,
ná cruit Mhic Mhanainn ba bhinne fuaim,
is seinm cuach i mbarraibh crann.
Cé nach é sin ar chumas fíor dom
a bheith a choíche leat i ngrá,
nárbh fhearr leat agam tar éis mo shaoil
nó ag daoi daor nach dtaitheann dán?
Ach mar maireadh aon seanchaí cóir,
tar, is cónaigh liom san úir,
d’eagla choíche go dtiocfadh an ló
tú a bheith i mbrón ag bodach búir.
An leabhar:
Níl mé gan searcas, a chara chroí,
is rachainn síos leat ins an chill,
ach go mb’fhearr duit mise ag neach sa gcrích
a bheadh ag guí ort le mo linn.
Is fíor duit sin, a shaothar na mbard,
is nuair a tharlaigh tú i mo dhiaidh,
can m’ainm, is iarr ar chách
guí go bhfaighinn Flaitheas Dé.

Hello Aidan, I purchased your new album in April and have enjoyed playing the download. When the it arrived in the post there was no physical CD inside the case. I have been promised a replacement but have still not received anything. I only need the CD - I have the case. Obviously I can create a CD from the download, but that’s not the point. Hope you can help.
Best wishes, Martin D’Arcy

Absolutely love that deep concertina sound. And the range of expression that Cormac brings out through this instrument, well beyond the intentions of the designers or makers of these instruments. And, feel sorry for his poor bellows and reeds. He has to do a lot of personal repair on them. Cormac's album design and presentation are beautiful works of art as well. See him in concert if you can. You can really feel those bass notes resonate through a hall. balinsky
