Mo chreach, a shiúr, gan mé ’gus tú
i gCúige Mumhan in éineacht,
nó insa Triúcha maidin driúchta,
is gan fios ar rúin ag aoinneach,
’baint an tsú craoibh maidin chiúin,
’baint cnó is úllaí de ghéaga,
is gan leabaidh fúinn ach féar is caonach
is duilliúr cumhra mar éadach.
Bheirim móide le mnáibh na Fódla -
nuair is bréag is cóir a chur in iúl dóibh;
an darna móide le cailín ródheas
a ligfeadh a clóca ar a súile;
an tríú móide gan fiú na póga
nach dtabharfainn dóibh mar dhúthracht;
an ceathrú móide gan scaradh leofa
go dtiocfadh an bás do mo chuartú.
Ise
Ná tabhair do mhóide choíche go deo
do mhaighre mhómhar na mbánchíoch,
is gur idir do dhá láimh ba dhá chéad fearr liom
ná bheith i bParthas naofa.
Ach ós amhlaidh atá, bhéarfainn searc is grá duit
dá ligfeá ar gcúl do thréarthaí,
is go bhfuil cách dá rá liom go suífeá ar clár
is gan bonn in do láimh lena réacan.
Bheirim duit páirt níos binne ná an chláirseach
go dtiocfaidh an bás is go n-éagaim;
agus seo mo lámh duit go bhfuil mé i ngrá leat
is nach ndéanaim d’athrú mar chéile.
Mar an eala bhán ar an loch ag snámh
atá do phíob is do bhráid, a chéadsearc,
mo chreach is mo chrá nach bhfuil mé is tú dálta
i ngleanntán fásaigh nó sléibhe.

Hello Aidan, I purchased your new album in April and have enjoyed playing the download. When the it arrived in the post there was no physical CD inside the case. I have been promised a replacement but have still not received anything. I only need the CD - I have the case. Obviously I can create a CD from the download, but that’s not the point. Hope you can help.
Best wishes, Martin D’Arcy

Absolutely love that deep concertina sound. And the range of expression that Cormac brings out through this instrument, well beyond the intentions of the designers or makers of these instruments. And, feel sorry for his poor bellows and reeds. He has to do a lot of personal repair on them. Cormac's album design and presentation are beautiful works of art as well. See him in concert if you can. You can really feel those bass notes resonate through a hall. balinsky
