I mBéal Feirste chois cuain ag bruach na farraige,
tá beirt daoine uaisle tá stuama meanmnach,
a bhfuil a croidhe mar Ghuaire le suairceas is carthannacht,
Hó, ró, go raibh Dia leo go deo!
’S é is ainm don dís seo Laoghaire ’gus Somhairle,
Mac na Duibhe an saoi, is an Bríseach flaithiúil,
a bhfuil an fhuil is an uaisle ag suathadh ina gcuisleannaibh
Hó, ró, is bua go raibh leo!
Ó tháinig mé ar cuairt, i ruaig (’s níor b’annamh liom),
do fhéachaint na ngruagach bhí suailceach taitneamhach,
’s é fuair mé ina suí iad ag míniú starthacha,
Hó, ró, nár bhainidh dóibh gleo!
Tharraing Somhairle a phíopa air, bhí fídeogach fadchosach,
agus chuaigh sé dá líonadh den ní úd ab aite leis,
de luibh na mban-sí a bheir íce do chailleachaí
Hó, ró, s’ nach leis a bhí’n ró!
Ghlac mise saéite a mhéadú na cuideachta,
is líon mé mo dhuidín ghá dhiúrnadh in aice leo,
’s go sílfeá gur Francaigh bhí ’gCuan Charraig Fheargasa,
Hó, ró, nuair a d’éirigh an ceo!
Thoisigh na píopaí dá líonadh ar athbhabhta,
leis an mhaicní uasal, gan ghruaim gan tarcuisne,
agus chaith sinn an oíche sin gur ghlaoigh na coiligh ’lig,
Hó, ró, sin deireadh mo cheoil!

Hello Aidan, I purchased your new album in April and have enjoyed playing the download. When the it arrived in the post there was no physical CD inside the case. I have been promised a replacement but have still not received anything. I only need the CD - I have the case. Obviously I can create a CD from the download, but that’s not the point. Hope you can help.
Best wishes, Martin D’Arcy

Absolutely love that deep concertina sound. And the range of expression that Cormac brings out through this instrument, well beyond the intentions of the designers or makers of these instruments. And, feel sorry for his poor bellows and reeds. He has to do a lot of personal repair on them. Cormac's album design and presentation are beautiful works of art as well. See him in concert if you can. You can really feel those bass notes resonate through a hall. balinsky
